Dear MAAC Member,

Thank you for attending our September Show. We sold over 380 tables and saw brisk attendance through the door.

MAAC would like to express condolences to Jan Pilchak and family for the recent loss of Jim Pilchak, a long standing MAAC member. Jim will be greatly missed both as a collector and as a friend.

Thank you to the following individuals who put on displays at our show: John and Sandra Siekierka for "Swords and Sabers of the Springfield Amory", Dan Kurkowski for "Remington Handguns", and the "Etoile du Nord" collectors club for "Long Rifles". John and Sandra's display included the most complete exhibit of Springfield swords and sabers known. Dan's Remington display allowed viewers to see a fine selection of Remington handguns from the beginning to the present. The "Etoile du Nord" as always, provided a great living history display for the public including period dress and very informative discussions of the long rifle. All three displays were outstanding and the comments I received from the membership and attendees made me proud to be a member of MAAC. Thank you to all.

Board Notes:

• If you are interested in running for a position on the MAAC board submit your resume to Joyce Christmann by the end of the November show on Sunday. (address listed below)
• We are still looking for displays to be featured at our shows. Contact Gary Christmann if you are interested.
• Contact Greg for any questions about upcoming shows or mailings.
• Table and membership dues need to be on separate checks. Please have exact change available.
• In the future no table reservations will be made before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday!
• Two day table holders, who leave early, either day, will be placed in the Saturday only table blocks. Saturday only table holders who leave early will be denied tables for the following show.
• Members at the show must wear their ID badges.
• Helper badges will be issued to club members or their immediate family members only.
• 2012 flyers will be available at the November show. Please advertise our shows by circulating the flyers. See Greg for info.
• Refer to our website www.michiganantiquearms.com for updated club info, table and membership renewal forms.
