We hope everyone enjoyed our November Show. Paid attendance for the weekend was about 2,000 and 350 tables were sold.
MAAC would like to express condolences to Jan Pilchak and family for the recent loss of Jim Pilchak, a long standing MAAC member. Jim will be greatly missed both as a collector and as a friend.
MAAC would like to thank Mr. Dale Kuche for his Marine Corp. display "The Early Marine Corp from 1812 through WWI and Beyond" with an emphasis on John Philip Sousa and the Marine Corp Band. Dale had several uniforms from each period and over 50 different hats on display. I hope you were able to view this outstanding exhibit as it might be Dale's last display for MAAC. He is planning on photographing the complete collection and publishing it in book form in the near future. We would also like to thank Mr. Dan Kurkowski for his display "Remington Shotguns - First in the Field and Out of the Field for Game or Games". This is the second consecutive show that Dan has displayed Remington guns from his vast collection. Please look forward to future shows for additional Remington displays from Dan, as I know he already has more in the planning. If you get a moment I'm sure Dale and Dan would appreciate your comments about their fine displays. Well done gentlemen!
